True Friends is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through experiences and adventures for people of all abilities. Many generous service organizations have joined hands with True Friends to support our mission. These partnerships are crucial in providing the resources and volunteers needed to sustain and expand True Friends programs.
Service Organizations: Partners in Progress
- Lions Clubs & Lioness Clubs: Local Lions Clubs have a long-standing tradition of supporting both our mission and participants through both financial donations and volunteer hours. Their contributions through the annual Parade of Green and individual chapter giving have helped True Friends enhance their facilities and expand their programs. Local Lions districts also help True Friends achieve major matching grants through the Lions Club International Foundation.
- VFW: Local VFW Clubs are known for their dedication to serving children and communities. Their partnership with True Friends focuses on creating inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities and ensuring they have access to the same enriching experiences as their peers.
- Knights of Columbus: Knights of Columbus clubs across Minnesota are faithful to support our participants through contributions from their Annual Tootsie Roll Fundraiser, which raises money for people with developmental disabilities.
Many other service organizations, such as Kiwanis, Rotary, and American Legion Clubs, and others across the state have been instrumental in True Friends fundraising efforts and volunteer support.
