Respite Check-In Nurse

Seeking (4) LPN or RN nurses who have current licensure in the state of MN with CPR certification.
Nurse will complete intake on campers, set up medications and train staff on the cares.
Must be on site Friday evenings from 6pm-9pm (minimum twice a month requested) and take telephone on calls until Sunday evening, with a possibility of going on site if needed.

A health and medication aid is required to have CPR/First Aid certification or equivalent. The medication aid may be a graduate nurse, nursing student, or other healthcare major with clinical experience. The HMA will reside in their assigned cabins with campers and other counselors. The medication aid will provide health care to staff and campers, administer medication, and provide teaching and training of healthcare related topics to staff.

Seeking Minnesota licensed LPN or RN nurses who have current CPR certification. The nurse will be on site to complete healthcare check-in on Friday evenings and occasionally be asked to be on call and available to return to camp as needed for medical issues until Sunday at 5pm. The nurse is available to teach and train on healthcare related topics to staff.
Camp Nurse (Summer Camp)
Come be a part of a wonderful organization helping individuals with physical and mental disabilities while engaging in camp life. We are in need of nurses that can commit to anywhere from 2 weeks to the entire summer to meet the needs of our campers. Nurses are required to be on site and housing for the duration is provided. Nurse must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and have a current RN license in Minnesota and CPR certification. Positive communication skills, detail orientated, organized and good customer service skills required.
New grads and experienced nurses encouraged to apply.
Counseling and Health Aid (Summer and Winter Camp)
A counseling and health aid is required to have CPR/First Aid certification or equivalent. The health aid may be a first or second year nursing student, certified nursing assistant or college student/graduate student with personal care experience. The health aid will reside in their assigned cabins with campers and other counselors. The health aid will provide direct care to campers, including personal cares; monitor camper special diet needs; administer simple treatments and first aid; and assist healthcare staff in providing supportive care for chronic medical needs.
Health and Medications Aid (Summer and Winter Camp)
A health and medication aid is required to have CPR/First Aid certification or equivalent. The medication aid may be a graduate nurse, nursing student, or other healthcare major with clinical experience. The medication aid will reside in the health center living area and rotate on-call status. The medication aid will provide health care to staff and campers, under the supervision of the camp nurse; administer medication and write camper profiles; and provide teaching and training of healthcare related topics to staff.
Sunday Check-in Staff (Summer Camp)
RN or LPN to assist with camp check-in June through August; Sundays 1-6 p.m., 1-4 times per month. Times are approximate.
Registered Nurse, Health Care Lead (April through August)
May be based out of Camp Friendship, Annandale/Camp Courage, Maple Lake, or Camp Eden Wood, Eden Prairie
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Oversees health care for various camping programs at all scheduled camping locations
Partners with the camping team to provide work direction to health care employees and volunteers
Leads and manages health care training to ensure safe and effective programs, which meet compliance, licensing and ACA standards
Manages health care resources and expenses, at all locations, in order to maintain proper supply levels within budget
Partners with departmental leaders to address health care needs and ensure health care compliance for the organization
Works directly with caregivers, and coaches health care staff on best practices for interacting with caregivers
Schedules and manages health care staff for weekly camper intakes/outtakes at all scheduled camping locations
Oversees basic medication administration
Leads health care orientation program for camping staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Valid and current RN license required
2+ years nursing experience
Ability to lead/mentor junior staff
Strong, proven verbal and written communication skills required
Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
Functional computer skills required, which includes experience working with Microsoft Office
Experience working with children and adults with disabilities desired
Must be able to pass organizational background checks
Must be able to be on-call and work extended hours, holidays and evenings/weekends, as needed
Must be able to travel to other camp/office locations as needed
