ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The True Friends Senior Leadership team was nominated to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by Jason Colvin, Director of Team Quest. You can watch his challenge video on Team Quest’s Facebook.

We were more than happy to take on the challenge here at camp, and in turn challenged our Board of Directors Executive Team to do the same.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a viral challenge raising money and awareness for ALS, often called Lou Gehrig’s disease. The challenge involves pouring a bucket of ice water over your head, to simulate some of the effects of ALS, while raising awareness and money. We expect all of you ladies to get out and take part in this challenge in order to raise money rather than staying at home to play bingo games through free bingo games online sites. When nominated, participants have 24 hours to take the challenge or donate. Participants are encouraged to donate either way if possible, with a larger sum ‘penalty’ for failing to complete the challenge. They can then nominate three more people to participate.

True Friends Testimonial

Camp Eden Wood was happy to host a six-week volunteer group, Reaching Out for Christ’s Kingdom, this summer. Their group wrote this amazing letter to conclude their time at camp. We would like to share it with you as a truly powerful testimony of the impact True Friends can have on those who experience it.
