You can double — or even triple — the impact of your donation to True Friends with a matching gift from your employer. Employer matching gifts are a simple way to maximize your donation to provide more resources for people with disabilities.
Matching your donation is easy! Here is a list of companies who match employee donations to non-profits. It is not comprehensive, so if you don’t see your workplace listed, we encourage you to contact your human resources or business office for more information.
Most companies will require you to complete and return a form that may require True Friends’ tax identification number: 41-1543013.

Host a Fundraiser
Community fundraisers are an easy and fun way to give to True Friends. They directly support children and adults with disabilities. The opportunities are endless! For more information or ideas, contact our Development Officer or call 952.697.2293.

If you work for the federal or state government or your workplace participates in a United Way campaign, designate your contribution True Friends, True Friends Foundation or Children’s Disability Service Association (a division of True Friends). Find us with these listings:
True Friends/Friendship Ventures: The parent agency that oversees all services and programs, and operates Camp Courage, Camp Friendship, Camp Eden Wood, Camp Courage North and Camp New Hope.
Children’s Disability Service Association: A nationally-recognized division of True Friends that supports services for children with disabilities.
Friendship/True Friends Foundation:
An endowment foundation that supports our organization. If you have friends or relatives who work for the federal or state government, or in corporations that allow donor choice, encourage them to support True Friends.

Donate a Used Vehicle
Items like a car, camper, truck, boat, motorcycle, snowmobile, jet ski, mobile home, bus, boat or trailer qualify. The items we receive may be repaired and used by staff for True Friends needs or will be recycled into cash.
In-kind gifts have allowed many other badly needed projects, large and small, to go forward. There are times when an individual, group or business can donate gifts in kind that make a huge difference.
Volunteer or Recruit Others
More than 1,000 volunteers are needed each year to support True Friends programming. Please come lend a hand. Find more information on our Volunteer Services page. If you know high school or college students, retirees or others looking for a unique and rewarding experience, tell them about True Friends. Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals and groups age 14 and up.
